The seventh annual River’s End  Volunteer Fire Department BBQ Cook-off fund raiser will be held May 1 – 2 at 12070 F.M. 2918. Belong to a cooking team? R.E.V.F.D. is officially requesting you to enter. The entry fee is $25 per category entry (categories being brisket, ribs, chicken, and beef fajitas). Entries must be received before cooking begins.

New this year is a children’s Hamburger Patty Cook-off for kids ages 5 – 10. The entry fee is $5, and the children must be supervised by parents while they cook. More information and entry forms can be found on www.revfd.com .

The general public is also invited to join in the fun and good food for a good cause. Open cooking, stuffed baked potatoes (for a $7 donation), an auction and a dance (featuring Anthony Smith) will be held Saturday, May 1.
