Where the end of the river is just the beginning

 Rivers End Fire Dept.

River’s End VFD Fishing Tournament scheduled for October 27, 28, 29, 2017 has been CANCELED due to record flooding of the Brazos River, San Bernard River, and Colorado River by Hurricane Harvey. Station #1, where we normally hold the Fishing Tournament was flooded. There is mold in the station making it unsafe. Most of the interior walls, insulation, flooring tile, and contents will have to be replaced. People and our firemen are still trying to recover from the flooding.

REVFD Firemen were on duty at Station #2, 24/7 during the entire time (21 days). They rescued people that were trapped using high water vehicles or boats to bring them to safety. They were giving out water, food, and other emergency supplies.  People were housed at Station #2 that had no other place to go. They also delivered emergency supplies by boat to families who did not evacuate.

Hope to see ya’ll next year.

REVFD would like to give Wal-Mart a Great Big Thanks You
for the donation to the fire department for food, air mattress, socks, underwear,
sleeping bags, water and a lot and a lot of other items.
They even delivered them to the fire station also.
Angie and Jasmin, Thank you.

We Do have Smoke Alarms at station 2. Feel free to come by and fill out some paper work and get yours today.
